As a club we have a presentation evening for all the medals and cups that have been won during the course of the year. We also have a trophies for the internal competitions, for example, best improved highest junior average and highest average in each team etc.

Results for 2012-2013


Welll done to every one who has taken part in the county finals on the 10th March 2013. It was a good result for the Sedgemoor teams as Sedgemoor A was against Sedgemoor C team in the Mullings Cup. Sedgemoor C came out on top at the end of the day. Also very well done to both Sarah and Jacob who shot againest each other in the Curry Rivel Juniors where sarah won by 0.6 of a point.

Toby Beard and Connor Keohane went to Oldenburg International Match between 6th – 13th JUNE 2012. They both shoot well over there. Both bring back medals in the team events. Connor achieved his Personal Best in the 3P event and made the final in the prone event. Toby Beard made the finals in the prone and 3P events. The finals are where the top 8 shooters shoot 10 shots on command.


Toby Beard has continued his success this year and has made it on to the England Shooting Sport Academy. He has also won a gold medal in the individual event in the Oldenburg international match this year along with 2 gold in the team events. He has also shot the GB junior international where he receive a bronze in the team event.

Results for 2010-2011

As a club we have a vibrant Junior Section which is well supported and going from strength to strength. The Juniors within the club have had laudable achievements. One junior had reached Senior County level at the age of 14. Toby Beard achieved first place in Junior League Division 1 whilst also winning the Junior Curry Rivel knockout competition. They have also won Somerset Junior Open and had a 9th place in the Eley Open.

Toby has continued to add to his success’s, being invited to shoot with both the South West Squad and the Junior Great Britian Squad in 2010/2011

2 Club members(both ex juniors) -Andrew & David Luckman are regular members of both the Great Britian and England full bore squad.

Andy Luckman

Andy learnt to shoot with Sedgemoor TSC and is very proud to have been a member continuously since January 1984 when he first shot small-bore rifle at Burnham range. Whilst shooting with the club Andy represented Somerset County at both small-bore and full-bore rifle shooting. Andy has been a part of various National and International shooting teams since 1991 and has travelled all around the world including Canada, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa.

Andy’s successes include winning the week-long “Grand Aggregate” at the UK national championships in 1994 & 1997 and the Blue Ribband “Queen’s Prize” in 1995. Andy had similar success in New Zealand in 1994 and won a bronze medal at the 1997 Commonwealth Games.

More recently, Andy’s success has come in team shooting, where he set the record for the highest individual score in the World Team Championships in 2003 and currently still holds the record for top-gun in the America Match, which he set in 2006.

David Luckman

David started his shooting career with Sedgemoor TSC in 1988 and has been a member ever since. He has been captain of Somerset County for several years and has been shooting full bore rifle at international level since 1994 when he went to Canada with the UK cadets. His world wide travelling schedule matches his brother’s and they have frequently shot in the same teams in various far flung corners of the world.

David won the British Open Target Rifle Championship in 1999 and 2007 and was 3rd in 1998

He won the Grand Aggregate at the UK National Championships in 2007 and came second in 1999 and 2003

He came second in the Queen’s Prize in 1999 and in 2007 he also won the second stage of that competition

David has made the winning score in the English Championships in 2004,2006 and 2007

His overseas achievements include coming second in the Canadian Grand Aggregate in 2004,then winning it in 2006 – the same year that he came second in the Governor General’s Prize.

In 2004 he won the United States Open Championships (The Spirit of America Matches)

He has a gold medal from the Commonwealth Shooting Federation championships in New Zealand in 1999

He was the World Individual Long Range Champion, a title he won in 2007

and finally, 3rd in the Queens Prize, 2009 Imperial Meeting
